Its not news to report that patients are coming to your practice more informed today with information (correct and incorrect) from the internet. That information had seemingly been focused on medical information and reputation reviews for the most part. What is cropping up now, and has been for some time, are sites entirely devoted to disclosing fees, which your patients may be interested in as what is charged may impact their insurance responsibility and/or their pocket if they are paying fee-for-service. Such information has remained confidential for the most part thanks to anti-trust laws prohibiting doctors from discussing fees with each other, with the thought process that such conversations would lead to anti-competitive fee-setting.
